The Hot Space Tour was a concert tour by Queen. Promoting the band's 1982 album Hot Space, the tour marked a period of experimentation for the band, who was now faced with the task of translating the upcoming album's disco elements into a live set. Tracks like Staying Power and Back Chat, both of which lacked much instrumentation by May or Taylor on their original studio recordings, would become heavier funk-rock pieces. The tour also marked the first instance of a guest musician, Morgan Fisher, being regularly featured on piano.
Faced with the commercial failure of Hot Space and the band's declining popularity in the west, the Hot Space Tour was the last to be performed by the band in North America until the Queen + Paul Rodgers Tour.
